Bio
I earned a M.A. in Education Policy & Administration through my service with Teach for America and a M.A. in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where the field of positive psychology was started.
Prior to studying at Penn, I started a CIRCLES program for over 200 school leaders and educators from a major charter network in the Bay Area which, a program which has now been replicated by dozens of schools across the country.
While studying at Penn, I wrote my thesis on burn-out and co-founded a company called Burn-in Mindset, which provides 1:1 resiliency coaching to educators to help buffer against burn-out.
I am also currently a facilitator of the Penn Resiliency Program and have trained over 100 police officers and clinical health educators in resiliency skills.
Through my experiences, I developed a true passion for community-building and social and emotional well-being. After experimenting with various circling methodologies, I founded my company OPM Collective, which delivers CIRCLES to small teams of professionals, providing them with a safe, structured, and consistent space to explore their feelings and thoughts related to real-life experiences using positive-psychology backed skills.
I then went on to co-found, with three other amazing women from Penn, Well-Crafted Collaborative which specializes in designing programs and experiences that promote and enhance workplace well-being for teams and organizations. We start with the leader. We believe that when leaders thrive, teams thrive. When teams thrive, organizations thrive. And when the workplace is a better place, the world is a better place.
I currently run the partnerships for a local and private Foundation that serves the mental health and well-being of 0-12 year olds and their caregivers and educators in San Francisco. Our mission is to build and grow a thriving youth in our beautiful city!
